​ANDUREN ELIYATA – DARKNESS TO LIGHT is a Program initiated mainly to provide Solar Powered Light to economically handicapped families in Sri Lanka. This is a non-profit charity, where all Administration Costs are borne by the Committee Members, thus providing maximum benefit from the funds raised, to the economically handicapped.

The Donation program started in May 2014, after reading an article about a student from Uva Province in Sri Lanka, passing their High School Examination with the highest marks. We were impressed that she had been studying under a bottle lamp. As a person who did not have electricity in my home, till I (Chandra) was 20 years, and used to study under the bottle lamp, my dear wife Marie & I  wanted to do something about it …

We solicit funds through tills distributed to make your loose change count, and through direct appeal.
